Description

System Information
Operating system: Windows-10-10.0.19044-SP0 64 Bits
Graphics card: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 980/PCIe/SSE2 NVIDIA Corporation 4.5.0 NVIDIA 511.79

Blender Version
Broken: version: 3.1.0, branch: master, commit date: 2022-03-08 18:16, hash: rBc77597cd0e15
Worked: 3.0

Addon Information
Name: Rigify (0, 6, 5)
Author: Nathan Vegdahl, Lucio Rossi, Ivan Cappiello, Alexander Gavrilov

Short description of error
If Cloudrig is installed, it is impossible to generate metarigs (these are missing from the Add > Armature submenu). Removing Cloudrig restores Rigify's functionality, but attempting to install it from a zip file creates an error message.

Exact steps for others to reproduce the error

  1. Enable Rigify from Preferences
  2. Download Cloudrig from here: https://gitlab.com/blender/CloudRig
  3. From Preferences > Addons > Rigify click "Install Feature Set From File...." and choose Cloudrig-Master.zip

I cannot replicate the problem. Did you make sure to use one of the latest releases? (https://gitlab.com/blender/CloudRig/-/releases)

Note that the CloudRig package has its own Bug Tracker.
I imagine it would be more convenient to report this issue there, as the author will be able to track the issues in the same place.

Thanks. It looks other people have had the problem as well, since 2 people have reported similar issues. Hopefully the next release will resolve this.

I really can't replicate the problem.

Please try the latest daily build: https://builder.blender.org/download/
Go to File → Defaults → Load Factory Settings and then load your file to see if you still can reproduce this issue.
If the problem persists, please give us more clear instructions on how to reproduce it from scratch.

Since the problem has already been reported in other places, it doesn't seem worth keeping this report. So I'm closing.
Thanks for the report anyway.
