Short description of error
Inverting the colour of an image in the image editor does not appear until the UI is changed. This issue is very similar to T96312: Regression: Image Editor Flip option isn't working

Exact steps for others to reproduce the error

  1. Open a image in the image editor.
  2. Select from the top of the image editior Image → Invert → One of the options in the sub menu
  3. Observe that the change did not occur. Split the editor region and notice the image update to the change you made.
