In the file I uploaded you will notice that the Set ID node does not work for the instance, in version 3.0 this works fine. thanks！

Hi, thanks for the report. Looks like ID node outputs the index value.
Not bisected but this appears to be changed in 97533eede444 (or maybe ba8dd0f24ff1?)
