Graphics card: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1650/PCIe/SSE2 NVIDIA Corporation 4.5.0 NVIDIA 512.15

Blender Version
Broken: version: 3.2.0 Beta, branch: master, commit date: 2022-05-26 13:12, hash: rBbf5395691473
Worked: (newest version of Blender that worked as expected)

Short description of error
Using inset (I) and trying to use the Boundary option (B) and is not working at all.

Exact steps for others to reproduce the error

  1. Download Blender 3.2.0 Beta to a folder
  2. Open and select new settings, NOT copying from the installed v3.1.2
  3. Press TAB to enter Edit Mode in the default cube already selected
  4. Press 3 to select faces
  5. Select front face
  6. Press I to enter Inset
  7. Press B to activate Boundary
  8. Nothing happens
  9. Press I again to de-activate Individual
  10. Same, nothing happens
  11. Click the mouse and open the last action window, Boundary is selected, but there is no action in the boundary of the faces.

Hi, thanks for the report.
This is not a bug. Boundary option is expected to work with open edges only: https://docs.blender.org/manual/en/3.1/modeling/meshes/editing/face/inset_faces.html#options
