Shadow Caustics are not Working

By Enabling in the startup default spotlight "Shadow Caustics", setting the Renderer to Cycles, setting "Cast Shadow Caustics" in the "Object Properties" panel of the Mesh with the "Glass BSDF" shader and setting "Receive Shadow Caustics" in the "Object Properties" panel for the Mesh with a simple non transparent nor Refractive material. The shadow just becomes a solid dark like the object was opaque and solid.

Thanks for the report
Did you enable Shadow caustics from Object data properties panel of light?

Providing a .blend file with the issue would be useful.

My guess for why it isn't working is that the object with Cast Shadow Caustics option enabled needs to be set to Shade smooth. If it is Shade Flat (the default for objects) then it will not cast caustics.

in the light settings of your light you should check if you have shadow caustics enabled there

@Pratik Borhade (PratikPB2123) Thank you for your response. Everything was set correctly but I mostly tested on Shade Flat objects.

Thank you @Alaska (Alaska) for nailing the problem. I was sure I tested once on a Shade Smooth UV Sphere, but I guess not since when I tried again on a Shade Smooth one, it worked just fine!

Thank you @Chad Pogchamp (LordOpof) for your suggestion, but everything regarding the settings were covered. Aparently the problem was the need for the Casting object to be smooth.
