System Information
Operating system: Windows-10-10.0.19044-SP0 64 Bits
Graphics card: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 980/PCIe/SSE2 NVIDIA Corporation 4.5.0 NVIDIA 516.59

Blender Version
Broken: version: 3.3.0 Alpha, branch: master, commit date: 2022-07-26 21:25, hash: rB2ca18e78f981
Worked: Unknow

Short description of error
After converting a mesh into a curve using the operation from menu, the named attributes created from GeometryNodes on the mesh are lost.

Exact steps for others to reproduce the error

  • Create a mesh object, add a GeometryNodes modifier then store a named attribute using "Store Named Attribute" node.
  • Use the operation from the Header : ObjectConvertCurve
  • The named attribute created previously should not be found on the converted curve.

Thanks for the report, this isn't a bug though. The old curves type doesn't support attributes. The new curves data-block that will replace this one will though: T68981
