Description

System Information
Operating system: MacOS Monterey version 12.5.1
Graphics card:Radeon Pro 560x 4GB

Blender Version
Broken: 3.30 latest version downloaded 24 Sept 2022
Worked: 3.1.2

Short description of error
When one object is parented to another object. Then rotated. Then the child is keyed in the location or rotation the child jumps and loses the keys.

Exact steps for others to reproduce the error

I have found that trying to animate a child has a strange double transform effect when key framing.

Here is a very short youtube video of the problem. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_f5VjDxdBUs 3
As you can see it is a very simple parent of one cube to another. But if I rotate the parent and then keyframe the child, the child jumps.

The problem was not found when I used a Windows machine

I can't replicate that myself on Linux. Not sure how this might be a MacOS only issue, but lets wait until someone on Mac triage that.

Unable to replicate either (on Windows). Could you check whether this happens in factory startup?: File โ†’ Defaults โ†’ Load Factory Settings

Sounds good. Thanks!

@Aaron Schmidt (aaronschmidt) I assume you'd tried this on separate windows system. It might have different blender preferences than your mac machine.
So please try factory reset.

I personally can not reproduce the issue on Mac. However, I am on ARM, which may make a small difference (but unlikely).

I recommend trying what @Pratik Borhade (PratikPB2123) suggested. Try loading factory settings and seeing if it helps.
