Description

In this video Blender 3.3.1 (same was in 3.2.2) In sculpt mode the option of an active tool in Auto-Masking with Face Sets seems not working at least with some tools like Move and Draw. After being activated it stays ON even when unchecked. The same option in the Smooth tool is working properly neverthless.

I can't reproduce the issue myself. Can you reproduce this issue on the default sculpting app template?
If not, can you attach this particular file?

It seems that's because you have face sets enabled in the tool settings. Disabling that and controlling the brushes settings independently should work. Can you confirm that?

Ohh! Confirmed! Indeed it seems to work! Thank you so much!!! But why the h.. are those options duplicated in different places then? Thank you again!

They are not exactly duplicated. The ones you were originally editing were brush specific options, while the one shown in the screenshot is a global tool setting option.
