Description

System Information
Operating system: Linux-5.15.0-56-generic-x86_64-with-glibc2.35 64 Bits
Graphics card: NVIDIA GeForce RTX 2060 SUPER/PCIe/SSE2 NVIDIA Corporation 4.5.0 NVIDIA 525.60.11

Blender Version
Broken: version: 3.4.1, branch: blender-v3.4-release, commit date: 2022-12-19 17:00, hash: rB55485cb379f7
Worked: (newest version of Blender that worked as expected)

Short description of error
When sculpting with a Multiresolution modifier subdivided at least once, cycles viewport rendermode does not show the object.
Turning off GPU subdivision in the prefs does not help.

Exact steps for others to reproduce the error

  • default scene
  • switch to cycles
  • add multires modifier & subdivide (at least once)
  • switch viewport to renderedmode
  • switch to sculpt mode
  • object disappears.

Other objects stay visible. Removing the multires modifier or setting the viewport subdivision to 0 makes the object appear. switching out of sculpt mode as well.
